A Personal One | Small Business Challenges and How We're Overcoming Them

They say when it rains, it pours. 2020 was a hard year, but it was also a change we embraced. Perhaps it was the persistent Zimbabwean side coming through: 'where there is a Zimbabwean, there is a way'. We found small businesses that were worth supporting and were able to share some happiness, through our jewels, to new clients around the world. What a privilege it is to be able to continue regardless of the struggles!
Then we made a mistake which cost us a lot, and it had nothing to do with anything going on around us, which made it seem a million times worse. Basically, we switched payment methods for our website and didn't update it on the other end. This meant when people came to visit our website, it was down. Our website remained down for a few days and you can only imagine the consequences of that during this time.
So now what? We continue. There is no option but to continue. It is such a valuable thing to be able to learn from mistakes and move on. We all make them, they will never go away. Some go so far as to say you only grow through the challenges, and that is the part we're focusing on. Growth.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far, we cannot begin to express how much we appreciate it! Every follow up letting us know how much you love your piece, every comment, every purchase. Just everything, thank you.
With love,
Bergen & Rowe
